What a grand year 2003 was for Jane! She completed many projects in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C., including one of her favorites, a pop art garden in Georgetown that was featured on the Georgetown Garden Club spring tour and was the subject of an illustrated piece in the Washington Post.

Jane’s own garden has been part of the National Garden Conservancy’s “Open Days” Program for the last three years.

This spring the Garden Club of America is featuring one of Jane’s gardens – a wonderful, quiet retreat with a steep slope that descends into a lovely stream, all in the middle of Washington, D.C! Starting in April, a number of Jane’s gardens will also be highlighted on various local garden tours, such as The Garden Club of Virginia’s Historic Garden Week, which will feature two of Jane’s most masterful pieces, the well-known Potts-Fitzhugh House (Robert E Lee’s boyhood home) and the neighboring Hopkins-Lee House.

Jane is currently working on a number of diverse projects, including several historic sites, as well as horse farms, country retreats and several elegant gardens in McLean, Virginia, including Salona, another historic house of note.
